MAKE YOUR OWN COSMETICS: EASY TRICKS FOR BEGINNERS

To start, it is better to choose simple and natural recipes that contain basic ingredients. The idea? Choose natural, basic foods that can be reused in many different recipes. So we use honey, aloe vera, shea butter, coconut, sweet almond oil, or powdered sugar. If cooking at home attracts many preconceived notions behind it, such as being an activity reserved and exclusively for culinary experts, our various recipes ensure the opposite.

Apply to your face with gentle massage movements. Insist on the T-zone, and avoid the fragile area around the eyes. Rinse with lukewarm water without rubbing: the water will dissolve the sugar and honey and make your skin soft and protected with sweet almond oil.

DRY SHAMPOO

DRY SHAMPOO

To rejuvenate your roots a little in between shampoos or before you head out whether, for work or an appointment, nothing makes up for dry shampoo. But the horror: When you need it, you know the bottle is empty! Don't panic, just substitute this homemade mixture.

Dry shampoos can be unscented, scented, or a combination of both. Dry shampoos contain little to no water, often creating a mild tingling sensation on the scalp, and are typically unscented.

The dry shampoo method removes product without the use of a traditional shampoo or conditioner. The aerosol-based formula is perfect for travel, because it is easy to pack and travel-sized, and it is quick to dry. The product can be used to set your hair and add volume.

Drying shampoos leave your hair feeling soft, smooth and manageable. They also help stop the oil glands from producing excess oil, which can cause breakage, which is why it is important to use a clean, well-ventilated space when drying your hair. This is especially important when drying shampoos used for sensitive scalps, like those of children.

The ingredients I need:

  • cornstarch
  • white clay, if you are blonde
  • rhassoul, if you are brunette

The app:

Mix these parts in equal amounts of cornstarch with the white clay (if you are brown, opt for rhassoul instead to avoid the white effect on the roots). Spray regularly on your roots, line by line. For a more precise application, put the mixture in a seasoning bottle or apply with a makeup brush.

Brushing:

After leaving the dry shampoo on for at least 5 minutes, massage your scalp with the help of your fingertips, then comb your hair well to remove the residue.
